An oncologist in Detroit was purposely misdiagnosing patients with multiple myeloma. Then gave chemotherapy treatments to over 500 people. In some cases, repeatedly giving them chemotherapy treatments until they were nearly dead.
Seriously, even if it was for the money just why?
This is horrible, but not impossible. Wrong diagnosis is the culprit and what makes it worse is the wilful intent is there to trick and cheat patients.
ReplyDeleteTerrible.we had to rely on oncologists and such treatment in Cancer , as otherwise we know it may lead to a condition were this carnivorous disease may decay our body .Though alternatve branches of medicines like ayurveda, homeopathy claims to cure Cancer it is not assured.also is not effective for all.
ReplyDeleteI actually live near Detroit, and many of my co-workers and friends have relatives that sought out treatment by this so called doctor. This is why getting a second opinion can be very important. His sentencing will most likely be life in prison for all the people he has killed.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle was one of this guy's patients. Fortunately he stopped seeing this phony just before he was to begin chemo

ReplyDeleteThe process of diagnosis in treating illnesses can be really crucial in the medical community. I just hope that these occurrences happen less.
ReplyDeleteWhere did this man’s conscience go? He was playing with people’s lives for what – money and greed? Being a doctor for him was a sham. He was right that he misused his skills – I don’t think it was a talent like he said – and he abused people in a horrible way. I wonder how he could sleep at night knowing what he had done.
ReplyDeleteThey say that money is the root of all evil...Do you still need proof? How about this?
ReplyDeleteWhat? Why is this/how is this even a thing? This is why people should always go to multiple doctors for second opinions. I am completely disgusted.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad! Everyone must take a second opinion when they ae diagnosed with deadly illnesses. Imagine being made to believe that death is near when there's nothing too wrong!
ReplyDeleteI cannot fathom the idea that anyone would misdiagnose and put people through the horrible effects of chemotherapy. Even money can't simply be the excuse of this doctor who practically left the victims nearly dead.
